Science Week 2024
February 19 – February 23

Don’t let the cold weather get you down this winter break. Warm up inside at WonderWorks during our Science Week event! From February 19th through the 23rd, we will be hosting five days worth of educational activities for guests to get hands-on with STEM! The upside-down amusement park is the perfect “stay-cation” outing to stay warm and have fun with the entire family.

Each event during the week will start at 1:00 p.m.

Monday, February 19, 2024:
Food & Habitats with Little Ray’s Nature Center

Join us for the first of two special presentations from our neighbors – Little Ray’s Nature Center! Today’s presentation will focus on the food & habitats of some of the Center’s current residents. We’re getting wild at the start of Science Week!

Tuesday, February 20, 2024:
Egg Drop Contest

Watch out below – Eggs are falling in the Canyon! Join us for our annual Egg Drop Contest to see if you’ve got what it takes! Guests who enter will receive all necessary supplies. Registration & supplies distribution starts at 1:00 p.m. This session is in partnership with Destiny USA’s Tykes Winter Edition event and is FREE to participate in!

Wednesday, February 21, 2024:
Weather Wednesday with Meteorologist Kate Thornton

A storm of FUN is brewing! Kate Thornton returns to WonderWorks for another exciting Weather Wednesday presentation. Learn more about a day-in-the-life from our local Meterologist and be blown away by wintery weather facts.

Thursday, February 22, 2024:
Let’s Experiment!
Guests are invited to get hands-on with some of our favorite science experiments, including an elephant toothpaste explosion, a breakdown of our Bed of Nails exhibit, our latest blubber lab, and more! You won’t want to miss these lessons in chemistry.

Animal Characteristics & Defense Mechanisms with Little Ray’s Nature Center

We’re ending the week with another can’t-miss presentation from Little Ray’s Nature Center! They’re back – this time talking about animal characteristics and unique defense mechanisms to help fend from predators.
